Just three months after becoming the first company to introduce 5-gig residential service at scale, Ziply Fiber continues fast-paced growth throughout the Northwest
Kirkland, Wash. (April 19, 2022) – Ziply® Fiber today announced that after becoming the first company to launch ultra-high-speed 5-gig and 2-gig residential fiber internet service at scale, the company has more than doubled its multi-gig fiber availability to 364,000 locations and added more than 30 additional cities to its 5-gig and 2-gig footprint. In January, the company introduced service to 170,000 residential customer addresses in 60 cities and towns across Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
The fastest home internet service provider in the Northwest, Ziply Fiber continues its fast-paced growth of multi-gig residential services, and currently plans to have 5-gig and 2-gig services available in most of its four-state footprint by mid-year.

In Washington, more than 75,000 locations were enabled, many of them coming in cities throughout Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom Counties north of Seattle. The company also nearly tripled the number of multi-gig locations it offers in Oregon, now topping 150,000, with Beaverton alone adding 20,000 locations In Idaho, nearly 25,000 locations were added, the vast majority coming in Coeur d’Alene, Hayden and Post Falls.

This multi-gig expansion is part of Ziply Fiber’s commitment to invest more than $500 million to build an advanced, 100-percent fiber network to both suburban and rural communities across the Northwest that have been underserved when it comes to internet access.
