Ziply Fiber brings Idaho’s fastest internet to Wallace with 5-gig, 2-gig and gig-speed service launch

Residents can now have the reliability of fiber for as little as $20/month

Kirkland, Wash. (November 8, 2022) – Ziply® Fiber announced today that its ultra-high-speed, 100-percent fiber-optic network is now ready for service in Wallace, Idaho. The launch will immediately enable Ziply’s popular “Gig-speed” service and its industry leading 5-gig and 2-gig residential services to the first set of more than 150 homes and businesses throughout the city.

“Ziply Fiber’s gig service to Wallace represents a tremendous positive move forward for our economy and ability compete in the global markets. Our communities are looking forward to an affordable, reliable service option to complete daily tasks as required in today’s information age,” said Colleen Rosson, a member of the Board of Directors of the Silver Valley Economic Development Corporation. “Fiber in our rural communities has been a long time in the making and we look forward to the doors this opens for our workforce, economy, education, businesses, and entertainment.”

In total, more than 800 homes and businesses in Wallace and just outside of town will have access to Ziply Fiber’s fiber optic network when network construction is complete. With multi-gig services available, this launch not only makes Ziply Fiber the fastest internet provider in Wallace, but it also makes Wallace one of the fastest cities in the nation for household internet speeds, on par with if not faster than most major metropolitan areas.

“Ziply Fiber is proud to make Wallace our newest multi-gig city and bring the fastest residential internet to many homes throughout this beautiful city,” said Harold Zeitz, CEO of Ziply Fiber. “Today’s launch is another example of how we’re working to increase access to high-speed internet across the Northwest, as we continue to bring transformative connectivity to the communities that need it the most.”

Fiber internet, unlike other options like cable or satellite, provides the bandwidth and capacity to keep your entire family streaming without interruption, provides symmetrical upload and download speeds to easily power video conferencing and online gaming, and was built with the reliability to last residents and businesses for decades. Among the many service options residents can choose from are Ziply Fiber’s most popular Gig-speed plan; its Fiber 50/50 plan, which at $20/month provides all the reliability of fiber at an affordable price with no annual contract requirement; or its ultra-fast, high-capacity 2-gig or 5-gig connections.

Ziply Fiber also participates in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), an FCC benefit program that allows qualified people to receive FREE or reduced-cost monthly internet service. To learn more about ACP, please visit ziplyfiber.com/community-discount-programs.

Ziply Fiber’s announcement comes at a time when more families and businesses need high-capacity internet to support the online needs of daily life. Ziply Fiber’s ultra-fast service requires no annual contracts and has no data caps for residential users.

Ziply Fiber’s goal is always to leave an area in a condition as good, if not better, than it was before construction began. If residents notice something has been missed, the company wants to know about it and asks that details be shared at ziplyfiber.com/constructioncleanup.
